Mustangs Welcome Four Skyhawks To 2019 Roster

The Martinsville Mustangs have announced the addition of another talented foursome from the University of Tennessee at Martin to the 2019 roster.

Sophomore infielder Casey Harford, junior right-hander David Hussey, sophomore infielder Ethan Whitley and sophomore righty Nick Wohlbold are the newest members of the 2019 Mustangs.

Harford, a Cordova, Tennessee native, is enjoying a stellar second season with the Skyhawks as he currently sits second on the team with a .345 batting average. In 37 games, Harford has racked up 49 hits, a team-high 30 RBI, nine doubles and three homers, including a grand slam on April 21. He is slugging an impressive .486 and is a perfect 3-for-3 in the stolen base category.

After finishing with a team-low 4.86 ERA in 22 appearances last year, Hussey is currently 2-2 in 19 appearances so far in 2019. The Alabama native has made five starts and has struck out 32 hitters in 39 innings pitched.

Fresh off receiving Ohio Valley Conference All-Freshman honors last season, Whitely is currently hitting .206 in 37 games played during his sophomore campaign. The Mason, Tennessee native is tied for second on the team with five home runs and has accounted for 20 RBI. The first baseman put together a two-homer, four RBI day in UT Martin's 8-4 win over Evansville on April 24.

Wohlbold, a righty out of Columbia, Missouri, is enjoying an outstanding 2019 season, pitching to a team-low 2.05 ERA and locking down eight saves. In 26.1 innings of work, the sophomore has struck out 33 batters while allowing just six earned runs.

UT Martin currently sits at 16-24 overall and holds a 5-13 record in the OVC. The Skyhawks open a three-game set at Eastern Illinois on Friday.
