The Martinsville Mustangs scored early and often in a dominating 10-1 win over the Wilson Tobs on Friday night at Hooker Field.
Lefty Garrett Sendelbach (Ohio Dominican) set the tone, making his second start of the summer and allowing only one hit in five innings.
First baseman Josh Falk (South Dakota St) led the way at the plate, reaching all fives times including a big two-run homer in the first inning to make it 2-0. He added a two-run single in the second and walked twice.
The Mustangs (3-5) scored twice in the first, six times in the second and two more times in the third to lead 10-1 at the end of three.
Righty reliever Kyle Lysy (Shippensburg) pitched an impressive final three innings, allowing no hits and striking out six Tobs hitters.
Martinsville will look for a third straight win on Saturday night when the Forest City Owls visit Hooker Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
