The Martinsville Mustangs mustered only two hits in a 4-0 shutout loss to the Gastonia Grizzlies on Thursday night at Sims Legion Park.
Righty Jake Lipetzky (Oklahoma Baptist) allowed just two hits, three runs and struck out five in six innings of work.
The Grizzlies led 1-0 until the sixth when they added two more runs and another in the seventh to pull away late.
Martinsville returns to action on Friday night at Hooker Field against the Holly Springs Salamanders. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
